Buying an iMac - This time I listed what I'd use it for ^-^?

Alright, so here's the most common, stupid question everyone asks...which should I get?!
All the answers are the same, "It depends what you'll use it for."
So, here's what I'll use it for, let me know what you think.

I've always had Windows PCs, and so I've always known what I'd need, or at least what I want.
But now I'm making the switch, and I'm excited, and I want to stay excited, and not be disappointed with my new toy!

I'm a fairly casual user. All the boring stuff like check eMails, facebook, youtube, you know, general browsing, nothing too fancy.
On top of that I don't play a lot of games. I have an xbox for that. But I do play World of Warcraft (I know...I know) and although I know that WoW doesn't require much, I'd like to be able to play it with the settings up as high as I can, and still get decent (25-40) frames.

At the same time I'm an audio engineer by trade...or I used to be, and I was thinking I might get back into that sort of thing. Not on a professional level, but just for me at home. Write some songs, and record them.

Other than that, I don't really do much else. But I want a computer that will be able to handle all this really well. Something that when I do actually engage this type of thing, I'll really enjoy it and be impressed with what I have.

So, here's what I was thinking about getting, let me know what you think, and what you would change.
(PS - I'm hoping to stick below $2,500, if I can)

* 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
* 1TB Serial ATA Drive
* ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB
* Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (International English) and User Guide (English)
* 8x double-layer SuperDrive
* Apple Mouse
* AppleCare Protection Plan for iMac/eMac - Auto-enroll
TOTAL: $2,267.00AUD

Also, I'd like to know what your opinion's are on the magic mouse. Is it worth getting? How is it for battery life? Maybe its worth getting that mouse for general use, and using my old true 2 button mouse for when I decide to play some games.
And what's your take on the Apple Protection Plan?

Let me know! Looking forward to some advice, and maybe even some trolling!

well your paying such a huge amount of money for rubbish hardware. for that amount of money in a gaming rig PC you could get a hex core processor with a nVidea 465 or a ati 5850 hd

the only good macs are macbooks. they are quite far ahead of other laptops in terms of tecnology.

for you a mac mini would be fine though. you dont need that much power and the nvidea 320m will run WoW on med - high graphics.

dual core processor is more than enough for sound processing. magic mouses are good id go for it lol.

get the 2.6ghz processor with 4 gigs of ram it will do you fine.

or get the lowest macbook pro
