It really depends on what you intend to use it for. From the brands you have listed, it sounds like you want to use it for e-mail, internet, word processing etc. For those options, I would recommend Dell. I've never really had any bad experiences with them and they produce some very high quality machines. So I recommend this one to you: http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/notebooks/laptop-inspiron-1545/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-inspiron-1545&s=dhs&cs=19 This is a 15-inch notebook, part their Inspiron line. The inspirons are part of Dell's mainstream line and are great for surfing the web, e-mail, watching movies, etc. They can handle everyday computing tasks. If you want a little more perfromance you can upgrade to the higher level one. If you want a smaller one they also offer a 14-inch model as well. Or if you want a really small one, you could get the mini 10. If it's gaming you're interested in (and you have the money) you get go for one of their Alienware models. I can tell you from personal experience, the M15x is AMAZING. But again they are rather pricey, and it doesn't sound like that's what your interetsed in. All in all, just make a decision based on what you plan to use it for.
