I don't understand. What do you need virus protection for? Do you have Windows on your
Mac Pro? Are you sharing a network, or share external hard drives with Windows computers?
If you are running Windows in Bootcamp or with virtualization, you should install a windows antivirus app in that environment (like avast or nod32)
If you are sharing a network or external discs with windows computers, you may want an Antivirus configured to scan hard drives as they are connected to the Mac, to help stop the spread of Windows viruses on disks shared with the mac.
If you want software to protect you from catching a "mac virus" you are out of luck. There a few different anti-virus programs available for mac, but there is zero real information about which kind is more effective. That's because there is not a single real world "mac virus" that can be used to test the effectiveness an mac antivirus program.
the whole idea of a "mac virus" is still theoretical, despite the fact that Mac OS X has been around for 10 years, and 100 million people use it to surf the Internet everyday.
