it is the latest update. 10.6.4. i want to change the entire look and feel of it in a safe way. shape shifter doesn't work. and i also want to change my icons but i dont know how to do that either. please help.

Right on the desktop, go down to properties, click that & u be at display properties, there u can see themes screen savers bach ground & so on,change icons right on one & go t properties, down at the bottom, there should be 3 box's, one should have change icon.:)
